CID to hand over blood stained clothes of Sri Lanka shooting victims to Government Analyst

Oct 25, Colombo: The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of Sri Lanka has received permission from courts to hand over the blood stained clothes of the victims of the election day shooting incident in Mulleriyawa on October 8th to the Government Analyst.

Additional Colombo Magistrate, Prasanna de Alwis granted permission to the CID to hand over the blood stained clothes to the Government Analyst.

The CID has also informed courts that the police had recovered a revolver, empty cartridges, a blood stained motor cycle, and a burnt Defender jeep from the scene of the crime.

The shooting incident in Mulleriyawa resulted in the death of Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others and injured parliamentarian Duminda Silva.
