Industrial energy saving initiative launched by Sri Lanka government

Dec 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce will launch an industrial energy saving initiative to help local companies to bring down their cost of production by reducing energy usage.

Sixteen local firms including Brandix Textile Private Limited, Lankem Ceylon PLC, Phoenix Industries, Acme Packaging, Global Vinyl Private Limited, GTB Colombo Corporate will initially undergo energy audits under this project.

Metropolitan Engineering, a subsidiary of Metropolitan Group, will conduct the audit and will provide an audit report for each factory with recommendations for saving energy.
