New media spokesman for Sri Lanka police

Sept 11, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s local media reported that a change in the post of police media spokesman is likely to take place soon.

Accordingly, present police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody, Superintendent of police, is to be replaced by Shirantha Buddhika Siriwardhana, Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Prishantha Jayakody is to be appointed for a post in the Sri Lankan contingent of the peace keeping forces of the United Nations, police sources say.

ASP Siriwardhana currently serves as the director of police investigations division.
