Non-academic staff in Sri Lankan universities on a sick note campaign today

Sept 12, Colombo: The Non-academic staff in Sri Lankan universities has launched a sick note campaign today against the failure by authorities to address their salary anomalies.

The Inter University Trade Union Federation has said the non-academic staff in all state universities has reported sick as part of the protest campaign launched by the union to demand solutions for the salary anomaly issue.

Head of the union, R. M. Chandrapala has reportedly said the non-academic staff in universities has been compelled to resort to trade union action due to the failure of the authorities to provide a proper solution to the issues faced by them.
