Pakistan beat West Indies by 10 wickets in
the first World Cup quarter-final match played at Dhaka a short while ago after
the Windies posted a weak total of 112 runs. The Pakistani openers got there
with 175 balls remaining as Mohammed Hafiz scored 61 and Kamran Akmal scored
47.

The West Indies won the toss and elected to
bat earlier on in the day but were cleaned out for 112 by a potent Pakistani
bowling attack with Captain and the tournament’s leading wicket taker Shahid
Afridi picking up four wickets for 30 runs.

Players like Pollard should be expelled from IPL as people playing with no brains like him and many´s in WI team´s minds surely are at IPL and its dollars. They did not look like they had the body language, concentration and performance focussed at winning the World Cup. I sympathize with the people of Caribbean,..My Deepest sympathies. Perhaps, I may get similar sentiments from a brother who probably see my message in WI in a couple of days time…thanks to our team selection?

West Indies deliberately lost to England as a favour so that the England team can remain in the game. Everyone saw on TV how the West Indies skipper smiled when they lost to England. Further, we will not forget as to how West Indies took sides with Australians in 1996 and decided not to come to our country. This is a good lesson the Pakistan team taught West Indies.
