Representatives of the Sri Lankan government and TNA to visit Tamil detainees in the North

Apr 16, Colombo: Representatives of the Sri Lankan government and the major Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) are scheduled to visit the camps for the displaced in the North and the detained former LTTE members in Vavuniya today.

The visit is part of an agreement reached during the meeting between the government and the TNA on the 7th.

The representatives from the government and the TNA are to inspect the lists of names of the detainees against a list of names of LTTE cadres, including leaders.

The government will be represented by parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardena and the TNA will be represented by MPs Suresh Premachandran and attorney M.A. Sumanthiran.
