Sept 27, Weerawila: A body of a soldier has been found Tuesday morning at the site of the explosion in the Southern Sri Lanka’s Weerawila military camp.
Military Spokesman Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi has said that the team, investigating yesterday’s explosion of an ammunition dump in the camp, found the body during the inspection of the site.
The Spokesman has said that the soldier had died of the injuries received due to the explosion.
Two other soldiers injured in the explosion occurred Monday afternoon are receiving treatments at the Weerawila hospital. Their injuries are not life threatening, hospital sources said.
A five-member committee, headed by Commanding Officer of South, Major General Sumith Manawadu, has been appointed to probe the explosion, the military spokesman has said.
