Sri Lanka External Affairs Minister meets Kuwaiti FM at ACD

Oct 10, Kuwait City: Sri Lanka’s Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris called on the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Monday in Kuwait.

The Minister arrived in Kuwait Monday to participate in the tenth Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) held at Bayan Palace in Kuwait City from October 10-11.


Prof. Peiris discussed bilateral issues important to the two countries with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the ACD which was inaugurated by the Amir of the State of Kuwait earlier today.

Foreign ministers from 31 Asian countries are expected to attend the forum.

The ACD forum will address diverse issues that affect the region such as global financial crisis, its impact on Asian nations, boosting cooperation among these countries in the economic, commercial, transport, environmental and cultural sectors.
