Sri Lanka lures Vietnam businessmen

During the visit the Sri Lanka – Vietnam Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce held a number of one-to-one business matchmaking sessions at a business forum, the chamber said in a statement.

The Vietnamese showed interest in setting up joint ventures for deep sea fishing, agriculture, processing of fish especially inland fishing, and in manufacturing agriculture equipment.

They were also interested in tourism projects such as building hotels, eco-tourism, spiritual tourism, inbound and outbound travel, airline, banking and shipping services as well as building apartments.

The establishment of a Vietnamese restaurant in Colombo was also mooted.
