Sri Lanka National Transport Commission to take action against illegal passenger transportation on expressway

Feb 20, Colombo: Sri Lanka National Transport Commission says that action will be taken against the operators who transport passengers on the Southern Expressway illegally.

The Chairman of the National Transport Commission Roshan Gunawardena said that only three private buses are given permission to transport passengers on the expressway.

However, the Commission has received information regarding unauthorized operators who transport the passengers.

He further said that 16 vehicles have been identified as vehicles transporting passengers on the expressway. They include two buses, six vans and eight motor cars.
