Sri Lankan fishermen rescue stranded fishermen from Myanmar

Apr 15, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Navy has said today that Sri Lankan fishermen have rescued a group of 12 fishermen from Myanmar, who were stranded after their fishing vessel was damaged.

The fishermen have been stranded while poaching in international waters. They are expected to reach Sri Lanka by tomorrow (16).

Navy Media Spokesperson Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya has told the media that the fishing vessel along with the fishermen will be brought to the Trincomalee harbor in Sri Lanka as advised by the Navy.
