Apr 18, Colombo: The Eastern University of Sri Lanka  in the Batticaloa District will reopen tomorrow (April 19) after being closed a month ago due to a clash between the students and the Police erupted when students of the University protested against the Police post erected within the University.

University administration is yet to take decision on the demand of the students to close the police post.  Meanwhile, all the faculties of the Sabaragamuwa University are also to be opened today following closure due to student clashes.

Four faculties of the Sabaragamuwa University were closed indefinitely last month after the students commenced a protest last month against the suspension of 58 of its students by the university authorities for allegedly ragging junior students.
