Sri Lanka’s Opposition and UNP Leader says vehicle damage at Sirikotha valued at Rs. 1.5 million

Dec 21, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Opposition and United National Party (UNP) Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says the recent attack at the party headquarters in Sirikotha resulted in vehicular damage valued around Rs. 1.5 million.

Wickremesinghe said the damage to his vehicle is around Rs. 500,000 while the damage to party secretary Tissa Attanayake’s vehicle is around Rs. 1 million.

He also noted that several computers and office equipment at the party headquarters were damaged during the attack.

The UNP Leader told the media that police have been asked to take stern disciplinary action against those responsible.
