Training center for judges open in Sri Lanka

Apr 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka Minister of Justice Rauf Hakeem and Chief Justice Asoka de Silva will declare open a training center for judges this afternoon.

The training center is situated in the new Justice Ministry headquarters near Hulftsdorp in Colombo. It is equipped with facilities including a library, Ministry of Justice sources say. The center has seating arrangements for 71 judges.

The center was developed with Rs. 3.5 million assistance provided by the German government.

The German Ambassador to Sri Lanka Jens Ploetner and the Ministry Secretary Suhada Gamlath together with judges are to partake in the opening ceremony.
