Nov 30, Colombo: The United States Embassy in Sri Lanka is collaborating with LEADS, a community development organization that reaches the most vulnerable in the country to hold a series of educational symposiums to mark the World AIDS Day.

The first of the symposiums will be held tomorrow from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the LEADS auditorium on Hospital Road in Dehiwala.

The knowledge of how the deadly disease is transmitted, how it can be prevented and the reality of living with HIV today can be used to safeguard one’s own health and the health of others, a notice on the event says.

The symposium targets an audience of students, healthcare students, medical staff, NGOs/Activists, support groups and journalists.
