Dec 12, Colombo: The India – Sri Lanka Foundation (ISLF) invites individuals, institutions and groups to submit project proposals that will assist to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
The proposals are sought in the thrust areas of Education, including short-term teaching/technical training assignments for faculty members, Art Culture, Archaeological Studies, Agricultural Research, Science Technology, Information Technology, Health, Development Studies and Gender Studies, statement issued by the High Commission of India in Colombo said.
“Under the thrust areas, proposals could be submitted for research projects and other educational activities at recognised institutions of learning located in India and in Sri Lanka, visits and exchanges involving students, scholars, academics, artists, professionals and performing artistes, participation in conference/seminar, symposia, art exhibitions, film festivals, cultural events and training workshops etc, publication of research works on India-Sri Lanka relations in the specified fields and translation and publication of literary works in Indian languages to Sri Lankan languages and vice-versa etc.,” the statement said.
The proposals would be considered during the next ISLF Board of Directors meeting in February, 2012. In the past the ISLF Board of Directors has approved proposals up to 700,000 rupees.
The applicants are required to submit a duly filled application form, which could be downloaded from the High Commission of India website (www.hcicolombo.org) along with the proposal to the Secretary/Program Officer India-Sri Lanka Foundation at the High Commission of India on Galle Road in Colombo by 15th January, 2012.
