Dec 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayaka says that the leadership training given to the new entrants of the universities will be increased to one and half months.
The government organized leadership and positive attitude training programme was conducted for three weeks last year. The training was declared compulsory for the university admission and a vast majority of the university students of the last batch followed the training.
The Minister of Higher Education says the training period was increased based on the feedback of the leadership training.
The Minister further stated that the selected military camps, the venues for the training, will be prepared in advance for the next training programme.
The Minister earlier stated that the aim of the leadership training was to prevent ragging in the universities.
