South Asian Conference on Sanitation in Sri Lanka next month

Mar 27, Colombo: The fourth South Asian Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN IV) will be held in the Oak Room of Hotel Cinnamon Grand, Colombo from April 4 to 7 2011.

Around 300 foreign professionals and 150 local representatives will participate in the conference, held biennially on a rotational basis in each country of the region.

A conference of civil organizations will also be held parallel to the main conference on April 1 and 2 at Tamarind Tree Hotel, Minuwangoda.

“Sanitation Enhances Quality of Life” is the theme of the SACOSAN IV.

SACOSAN is a platform for dialogue and influence created by the governments of South Asian Countries to review the progress made in the area of Sanitation. The conference aims to accelerate the progress of sanitation and hygiene in South Asia and to enhance quality of life of the people.
