Sri Lanka’s Inter Company Trade Union vows to fight against the private sector pension funds

May 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) affiliated Inter Company Trade Union vowed to fight against the private sector pension fund that is proposed by the government.

The Chairman of the Inter Company Trade Union Wasantha Samarasinghe vowed to summon the private sector employees to street to fight against the acts to establish the funds if they were passed in the parliament.

The Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa today announced to the parliament that the Supreme Court had ruled the draft bills are consistent with the Constitution.

However, the Chairman of the union says that their fight against the acts is not related to the judiciary ruling.
