Sri Lanka’s massive development exhibition in 2012 to be held in Anuradhapura

June 21, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s most prominent development exhibition Deyata Kirula (Crown to Nation) that coincides with the Independence Day celebrations is to be held at Oyamaduwa in Anuradhapura next year, the government has decided.

Accordingly, the national Independence Day celebrations of 2012 are also to be held in Anuradhapura.

Deyata Kirula exhibition that attracts millions of visitors every year will be held from February 4th to 10th next year.

The government has decided to develop the infrastructure in Anuradhapura district concurrent to the exhibition.

Last year, the exhibition was held in Monaragala and a massive infrastructure development was carried out there to facilitate the exhibition.

The mega exhibition showcases products and services of over 1,000 government, private and international organizations and displays the future development programs of the government.
