Apr 26, Colombo: In line with its expansion drive, Sri Lanka’s national career, SriLankan announced that it would acquire seven new aircraft within this year.
SriLankan further announced that 11 new pilots were also recruited to the career following a training program conducted by the airline.
The new pilots include four former flyers of Sri Lanka Air Force.
SriLankan Airlines Chairman Nishantha Wickremasinghe says that the national career expects to cater to all types of import and export sectors in addition to the tourism industry.
Wickremasinghe said SriLankan Airlines have invested heavily in expanding the fleet with the expectation to serve as a regional hub connecting South Asia with the world.
