UN adopts US backed resolution by 11 votes From maximum Asian Countries.

The Resolution on Sri Lanka was adopted by a majority of 11 votes at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions in Geneva a short while ago.

Accordingly, 23 countries voted in favor of the draft while 12 countries voted against it. In addition, 12 countries, including India abstained from voting on the resolution.

The resolution was co-sponsored by 41 nations.
