Minister A.H.M. Azwar says that the government’s victory at the recently concluded elections were due to the dedication of the President and MP Namal Rajapaksa.
Echoing these sentiments, MP Eric Weerawardena also said that the Mahinda Chinthana policies as well as MP Namal Rajapaksa’s hand in steering the election campaign had led to the UPFA victory.
‘When looking at the results…it is apparent that the public has given the mandate to President’s Mahinda Chinthana…We can also say that this is a response to international challenges we are facing…It is singular that our young MP Namal Rajapaksa had addressed over 500 meetings in all six districts..This gave a massive strength to the party and became a driving force to attain victory, MP Weerawardena said.
Meanwhile, MP Namal Rajapaksa says that the reason behind the UPFA’s victory was the public identifying the challenges faced by the President and the country.
Making a statement to ‘Neth News’, MP Namal Rajapaksa said that the government’s vision of the country’s development and the future generation was the reason behind the UPFA’s victory at the Western and Southern Provincial Council polls.
